This website is part of the NetGodz game, and Starlight Servers is a fictional company. Nothing described on this site is real: there are no data centres, no network, no colocation, no transit, no silicon, and no job exists. No goods or services are offered, nothing can be bought, no contract can be formed, and every figure, facility, price in credits and job requisition on this site is invented for a game. If you arrived here looking for infrastructure or for employment, you have found neither.
1. What this site is
starlightservers.net is one of six fictional websites belonging to NetGodz, a game. The company it depicts, its facilities, its employees, its autonomous system number, its prices and its published figures are fiction written for that game. The site is written in the voice of a real infrastructure company because that is the point of it.
2. No offer, no sale, no contract
Nothing on this site is an offer, an invitation to treat, a quotation or a representation of any kind. No payment is taken anywhere on this site, no payment details are collected, and no mechanism exists by which you could pay us anything. All prices are given in credits, an in-game currency with no monetary value, which cannot be bought, sold, redeemed or exchanged.
3. No employment
The careers section is fiction. The requisitions, teams, salary bands, screening tiers and hiring process described there do not exist and no role is being recruited for. If you submit the application form, your submission goes to the NetGodz game team; it is not an application for employment, it will not be treated as one, and no employment relationship of any kind can arise from it.
4. No relationship to any real organisation
Starlight Servers, Inc. is invented. Its facilities, codes, exchanges, officers and silicon families are invented. Any resemblance to a real company, person, product, publication or network is coincidental and unintended. Network identifiers used on this site are drawn from ranges reserved for documentation precisely so that they cannot refer to anything real. We do not claim any affiliation with, endorsement by, or connection to any real organisation.
5. Data we collect
One form on this site accepts input: the application form on a requisition page. It collects a name, an email address, the requisition it was sent from, and an optional message. It does not accept a CV, a document, an address, a telephone number, identification or payment details, and it never will. See the privacy notice.
6. Fitness for anything
The site is provided as it is. Do not rely on anything here: not the specifications, not the availability figures, not the peering policy, not the maintenance windows, and certainly not the salary bands. It is a game, and using it as a source of technical, commercial, legal or employment information would be a mistake.
7. Age
The site contains no adult content and sells nothing. It is intended for a general audience. If you are under 13, ask a parent before sending anything through a form on any website, including this one.
8. Changes and contact
These terms may change as the game changes. Questions about the game, the site, or anything you sent through the form go to the NetGodz team, not to Starlight Servers, which does not exist. The addresses published elsewhere on this site are props.
